Legal notices
These notices describe how the site and the software behave today. They are placeholders and will be replaced by reviewed legal text before Nightfloat ships.
Privacy
This website. Cloudflare hosts it and runs Cloudflare Web Analytics on it. That service is cookieless: it sets no cookies and does not fingerprint visitors. It reports page views in aggregate, so we learn which pages were read and how often, not who read them. Cloudflare adds the measurement script to each page as it serves the page, and that script is the only request a page makes to another company; fonts and images are served from nightfloat.app. Cloudflare also keeps standard request logs (IP address, user agent, requested path) for security and operations, as any web server does.
Nightfloat. The application collects nothing. There is no account, no usage reporting, no crash reporting, and no cloud copy of your work. Your files stay on your computer, and SynopsisMD has no way to read them.
Terms of use
This website is provided for information only. Use of Nightfloat will be governed by the license that ships with it. Nothing on this site is an offer, a warranty, or a commitment to deliver a particular feature.
Licensing
Nightfloat's source is being prepared for release under a license that has not been finalized. This website and the organization edition of Nightfloat are proprietary: nothing on this site grants a license to use, copy, modify, or redistribute SynopsisMD software.
What these notices do not claim
Nothing here is a compliance claim. Whether a particular use complies with a data use agreement, an IRB protocol, or your institution's policy depends on you, your agreement, and your institution, and software cannot decide it. What Nightfloat can state is narrower and checkable: the data and the model both stayed on your computer, and the record of what ran is yours to keep.
Medical disclaimer
Nightfloat is a research tool. It is not a medical device, it has not been reviewed or cleared by any regulatory body, and it must not be used to make decisions about the care of an individual patient. Statistical and clinical judgement remain the responsibility of the clinician using it.
